Are Your Bad Habits Making You Broke?

By Jerry J. Jansen On December 3, 2009 NO COMMENTS

500x475 Changing our financial bad habits is the key to improving our finances.  If you’ve developed some poor habits, the simple act of breaking those habits could make a dramatic difference.  It’s hard to contrast filing bankruptcy in the same category as nail biting or being perpetually late but bad habits can impact every aspect of your life especially finances.

If you have poor money habits such as not reading your bills, not balancing your checkbook monthly, bouncing checks like basketballs and paying bills with your high interest credit card repeatedly, you could get yourself into a heap of financial trouble.

Bad financial habits tend to get worse before they get better and many people hit a financial low before they make some changes. It doesn’t have to get to the point where you’re going to lose your house and deal with repo men knocking at the door. You can take the reins with your money and get things under control if you act before it gets too bad.

It takes a time to unlearn a bad habit. You can quickly learn new habits that replace the bad ones, which can help you improve the look of your financial future.
